Chasing a target of 159, the Titans reached the target in 19 overs with 4 balls to spare.
Critics point out that the decision of Lucknow’s most successful fast bowler, Dushmantha Chamira, to bowl only 3 of 4 overs was the turning point of the match.
Dushmantha Chameera was able to burn Titans batsman Shubman Gil in his first over, crippling the opposition batsmen.
Undeterred, Dushmantha Chameera took a wicket off Vijey Shankar in his second innings, smashing two of the Titans’ main wickets for 25 runs.
Chamira was able to bring Lucknow back to Lucknow after conceding just nine runs in the 19th over , but the Titans secured the victory in the final over.
Dushmantha Chameera took two wickets while Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda and Avesh Khan took one wicket each.
